Since I started teaching macro workshops five years ago, I have been showing students the art of the “Two Subject Composition”. I started photography subjects unaware at the time that I had stubble onto a style that has created my most successful images. I noticed that my best selling prints at the art shows and the images that were winning contests were all these “Two Subject Composition”.
It’s really very simple, you have a main subject that is easily recognizable by the viewer, and an interesting background that compliments the main subject.
Since teaching this method through my workshops, I see lots of great “Two Subject Compositions” being created by some of my past workshop participants.
Very simple concept and easy to set up.
