Creating Art with Plant Life Series #3

Posted: February 16, 2017 in Uncategorized
Another great plant to find interesting lines and designs. Lots of nice artwork waiting to be photographed.
If you don’t live in an area with these tropical or desert plants that I have been featuring in this plant series, check your area to see if it has an indoor botanical garden, as they usually have some tropical or desert type plants.
Here’s is the plant I was shooting.

Here is a nice comp from this plant. Shot with my Nikon D7000 and 18-270 Tamron lens. f/stop at f/32. I gave it a soft dream like look in Nik Software.

You make it look so easy. A fabulous take.

That plant is a Cycas revoluta, or Sago Palm. Often called a cycad. It is one of the most primitive seed bearing plants around, and make for great photos.
