G16 Canon Point and Shoot

Posted: June 11, 2015 in Uncategorized

If you are looking to buy a good top notch point and shoot check out the Canon G16. It’s probably priced in the highest range of point and shoot cameras at $449 (which I purchased from Hunt’s Photo) but I wanted something that produced good quality images. It has an HDR mode which seem to work well. It’s a very nice camera to take on a hike when you don’t want to carry the bulkier DSLR and lens. Great for filling the frame with the subjects and getting it all in focus. Image are nice and sharp. I got a few nice shots on my first hike with it, and here is one.

Mike, try the SX60; it does great macro shots and gives a lot of zoom capability.

  2. Mike, I’d be interested in seeing some of the in camera HDR shots of the G16 not post processed.
