Gears
Many of the images I will post in the upcoming Daily Macro View will be from my time spent shooting at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. An amazing places with tons of great subjects for close-up photography. I love shooting old machines with gears and the museum has lots of old machines with plenty of gears. I like the interaction of the gears working together, and like the patterns they create and the graphic design. These old machines tend to have lots of nice textures that can be pulled out nicely using the Detail Extractor in Nik Software’s Color Efex Pro4.
